Connecticut Top Doctors: Harris Greenberger, D.P.M., FACFAS
April 2010, Page 95

Dr. Harris Greenberger, founder of Sound Foot Care Center of Connecticut, provides cutting-edge aesthetic, medial and surgical podiatric care in a relaxed, spalike atmosphere. In private practice for over 10 years, he treats a wide variety of conditions in both children and adults. Among the most common ailments are sports injuries, flat feet, bunions, neuromas, heel pain, toenail fungus and foot problems related to diabetes.
Dr. Greenberger, who completed his medical studies at Temple University, School of Podiatric Medicine, says he has seen a surge of patients seeking aesthetic and cosmetic treatments.
"We received an overwhelming response when we became the first in Connecticut to offer an innovative, noninvasive, new laser treatment for toenail fungus. This treatment, divided evenly between men and women, is especially helpful for men, since unlike women, they are unable to hide the problems. Patients have been coming from as far away as New Hampshire for this treatment." He continues: "We're also seeing a demand for other progressive, noninvasive procedures. For example, many people who suffer from heel pain and have failed conventional treatments are now walking pain-free after undergoing a new radio-frequency procedure in our office. We are constantly updating and incorporating the latest medical and surgical treatments as they become available to improve the lives of our patients."

Dr. Greenberger feels fortunate to be able to contribute to his patients' overall health. "In many instances, I'm able to provide almost immediate relief," he says. "It is very gratifying to be able to keep patients active and free of pain. This is the reason I became a physician: I enjoy making people feel better. I'm not just evaluating their feet; I'm providing care that ultimately affects their entire well-being."
When asked how the Internet has affected his practice, Dr. Greenberger says, "Patients are becoming more informed consumers. They are doing their research and educating themselves before seeing me. Often, they find me while searching for answers and solutions to their foot problems. My Web site has become an extension of my practice."
